Nick is a Springfield Parish Councillor and is the youngest ever councillor in this Parish.
He holds a First-Class Degree in Politics and International Relations from the University of East Anglia, which has equipped him with a strong foundation in political theory, policy analysis, and global affairs. This academic background informs his work in both local and national contexts, where he is committed to delivering practical solutions that benefit the community.
Currently, he works as a Defence Engagement Executive and Conference Producer, where he designs and curates high-level events in the naval and defence sectors. His role involves bringing together military, academia, and industry leaders to foster collaboration and drive innovation in maritime security and defence initiatives.
In addition to his work in defence engagement, he has diverse experience in public service and charity. He served as a Social Media Manager for Sky Angels Air Ambulance Charity, helping to amplify their mission and connect with the public through impactful digital campaigns. He also worked closely with Caroline Ansell, Member of Parliament, supporting public communications and engaging with constituents to address local issues.
He is the Founder and Host of The End of Time Podcast, where he engages in discussions on political, social, and philosophical topics, encouraging listeners to think critically about the world around them. He has interviewed members of Parliament, Police and Crime Commissioners, Just Stop Oil Activists and many more.
On being elected as YC Chair, Nick commented “I feel honoured to become the young Conservative for Chelmsford, I look forward to meeting and engaging with fellow Conservatives across Essex!”
